Sarah brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience across healthcare, life sciences, and founder-led businesses. Her career spans Big 4 advisory, private equity-backed growth, and hands-on operational leadership as a business owner.
A Proven Leader in Financial and Operational Growth
Locally you may recognize Sarah as the previous Chief Financial Officer of Genova Diagnostics, a private equity-backed clinical laboratory. During her tenure, she played a key role in scaling the company from $18 million to $100 million in revenue, helping drive significant enterprise value through to a successful sale transaction.
She led all core financial functions while overseeing a 65-person team, with responsibility spanning finance, revenue cycle management, operations, and strategic initiatives.
Founder Perspective That Changes the Conversation
In addition to her corporate leadership experience, Sarah is the Founder and CEO of Green River Botanicals, a sustainable, organic hemp farm and product-based eCommerce business.
Through that experience, she built and operated a direct-to-consumer brand, gaining firsthand insight into revenue channels, margin management, and the operational realities of scaling a product-driven company.
This perspective allows her to move beyond reporting and into true financial leadership.
Deep Roots with Kaplan CFO Solutions
Sarah is not new to Kaplan CFO Solutions. She previously served as a Kaplan CFO before stepping away in 2020 to found and lead Green River Botanicals.
Her return reflects both her alignment with the firm’s approach and the additional perspective she brings as a business owner, strengthening the firm’s ability to support clients navigating growth, complexity, and transition.
